Mrs. Hope Davis

I am so excited for this new school year at Prattville Kindergarten School. I am married with two beautiful daughters and has been an educator for over 20 years.  I would like to encourage parents to read to and with their child every day. I believe that it makes a world of difference.

READING INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Our students are very excited about reading. Each month, the Learning Community that reads the most books will be rewarded with a special treat.  At the end of the school year, the homeroom class with the most books read for the year will also be rewarded with a special treat.  Please read with your child daily.  Reading with and to your child has an enormous impact on their academic success.  His/her teacher will provide you with a form to record the books read.  Thank you so much for your help and support.

Joseph Slate published his first picture book for children, The Star Rocker, in 1982. Since then, Slate has published 13 other books for children. His most popular books are the “Miss Bindergarten” books, a series about a border-collie kindergarten teacher and her classroom. The books help to introduce young children to the idea of school and some of the things and activities they might encounter there, while reinforcing the alphabet and number skills.
