I have been the Library Media Specialist at Prattville Kindergarten School for 14 years.  PKS is AWESOME.  I love instilling the love of reading in my students. Reading can take you on so many fun adventures.

READING INCENTIVE PROGRAM 

  

Our students are very excited about reading.  Each month, students will have the opportunity to take part in a monthly reading challenge.  Each student is asked to read and record 20 books.  Students that read 20 or more books will be rewarded with a special treat and a certificate.  Please read with your child daily.  Reading with and to your child has an enormous impact on their academic success.  His/her teacher will provide the form to record the books read.  Thank you so much for your help and support.   

Shelf Elf Award

Classes that return all of their books on their library day receive a Shelf Elf Award.  The class with the most awards receive a popsicle party in December and in May.  Please help your child to remember to bring his/her book back on their assigned Library day.
